Bizora V1.6.1 is now live.
This release introduces improvements to state-level accuracy, expands support for federal tax questions across multiple tax years, and adds web search as a supporting capability when additional context is relevant.
The updates in V1.6.1 reflect patterns we see repeatedly in real tax research. Users are working across years, navigating state and federal differences, and looking for reliable context without disrupting their workflow. This release addresses those realities directly.
Improved Handling of Complex State-Level Questions
State tax research is often where uncertainty compounds. Differences in conformity, state-specific modifications, and unique sourcing rules can turn what would otherwise be straightforward federal analysis into a series of edge cases.
In V1.6.1, Bizora improves how complex state-level tax questions are handled, with particular attention to situations where state treatment diverges from federal rules. The system is better at identifying when federal treatment cannot be assumed and at surfacing state-specific differences more clearly in responses.
This update includes:
More consistent recognition of state-level rules and adjustments
Clearer distinction between federal treatment and state departures
Improved handling of nonconforming and partially conforming states
These changes are intended to reduce ambiguity in state answers and make it easier to understand where risk or uncertainty may exist. For users evaluating state tax positions, the emphasis is on clarity rather than volume of information.
Federal Questions Across Multiple Tax Years
Many tax questions do not belong to a single tax year. Planning decisions often require understanding how a rule was applied in prior years, how it changed, and how it applies today. Historically, this has required breaking research into separate questions by year.
Bizora V1.6.1 adds support for asking federal tax questions across multiple tax years in a single prompt. This allows users to compare rules, identify changes, and reason through positions without interrupting the research process.
This capability is particularly relevant for:
Reviewing prior-year positions
Evaluating the impact of legislative or regulatory changes
Supporting planning decisions that depend on historical context
By allowing multi-year context in a single question, Bizora better aligns with how tax professionals think through complex issues over time.
Web Search Support
V1.6.1 also introduces web search support as a supplemental capability. When additional context is helpful, Bizora can reference relevant information from the web to support its answers.
This feature is intended to provide broader context in situations where useful information exists outside primary tax sources. Web search is used selectively and is not intended to replace core tax knowledge or authoritative sources.
In practice, this helps address research scenarios where additional background, clarification, or current information improves understanding.
Continued Product Development
Bizora V1.6.1 continues a pattern of frequent, incremental product updates. Each release is informed by how the platform is used in active research and compliance workflows, rather than by theoretical use cases.
The focus remains on improving accuracy, reducing friction, and supporting the way tax professionals actually work. Additional updates are already in progress and will continue to build on the foundation introduced in this release.
