Bizora is proud to announce a new partnership with the University of Southern California’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. This collaboration reflects our shared mission to make reliable tax help easier to access for individuals and families who need it most.
The VITA program at USC plays a vital role in supporting low-income taxpayers across Los Angeles. Each year, student volunteers dedicate their time and skills to prepare free and accurate tax returns for members of the community. It is a hands-on learning experience for students and a lifeline for local residents who often struggle to afford professional tax assistance.
This tax season, USC’s volunteers will be equipped with Bizora, our AI-powered tax research assistant designed to help users find clear, accurate answers to complex tax questions in seconds. The platform streamlines the research process, helping students quickly identify relevant rules and interpretations without spending hours searching through IRS publications or outdated online sources.
Using Bizora means volunteers can spend less time getting lost in the technicalities of tax law and more time serving the people who count on them. For many, that difference can mean faster service, fewer errors, and a smoother filing experience during one of the most stressful times of the year.
To ensure the student volunteer team feels fully supported, Bizora will host a hands-on training session on November 19. The session will walk USC’s volunteers through the platform, showing how they can use its tools to speed up research, verify information, and collaborate more effectively during tax season. The goal is to make their experience easier and their impact greater.
Supporting VITA programs aligns closely with Bizora’s broader Impact Program, which focuses on expanding access to accurate tax knowledge and technology across communities. Many people who qualify for free tax help do not receive it because programs lack resources or time-saving technology. We believe that the right tools can help close this gap, empowering volunteers and ensuring that every taxpayer receives the guidance they deserve.
The partnership with USC represents the first of several collaborations Bizora hopes to build with universities and community-based organizations across the country. Each new connection helps create a stronger network of future tax professionals who are both technically skilled and deeply community-minded.
“Our goal has always been to make tax research faster, easier, and more accessible,” Adam Tahir, Founder of Bizora. “Working with USC’s VITA program gives us a chance to put that mission into action and directly support volunteers and families who benefit from it.”
If your organization runs a community tax program or supports free tax preparation initiatives, we’d love to collaborate. Together, we can use technology to make tax time simpler, smarter, and more accessible for everyone.
